Don't want to bore you

Ok so I'm not going to bore you with a "I'm a sook and I don't like winter" post. This will be my only whinge about the weather - It's been COLD!. Don't worry I knew winter was coming and it's not as if its a surprise but still don't like it  and yes I'll get over it :).

So things that have been happening? Well we're over our nasty tummy bug - YAY.
Miss Midget is pretty much back to normal with regards to eating and behavior. Still getting tired in the afternoons but thats to be expected I guess.
I haven't had a chance really to do anymore unpacking. There are some things that need to go up in the roof for storage before I can really carry on with it as some of the stuff waiting to be unpacked needs to live in the spare room which is quite full at the moment :).

So I swear there is a single bed in there......somewhere.
Other than that not a lot has been happening.
I did manage to have a nice conversation with one of the team behind Snap Guide the other day which was nice. They sent me a message just thanking me for my guides I'd and asked me if I was enjoying it.
Told them about my blog post I'd done at the start of the month and they were pretty stoked that I'd been with them pretty much since day one and had gone to a bit of effort for them :).

Have been working on a few birthday present ideas for a couple of mates. Hopefully have that sorted this week. Will post something after I've given the presents to them so as not to ruin the surprise :).

Alrighty. Will try and put The Weeklies out a little later tonight to :).

Have a good one :).

Spew, Poo and all things tummy bug icky

Ok so sorry about the title, thought it best to warn people about the topic of my conversation before they read this and well yeah thats the first thing that came to mind lol.
So I have been battling a tummy bug since Friday but this tummy bug is sneaky. It makes you think you are well enough to do stuff and then sneaks back up on you and your back to square one.
So Friday I felt a bit yuk by Friday night I felt REALLY yuk. Lost my dinner and was in bed with a grumpy tummy quite early on Friday night :(.

Had hoped that it was a one night only deal. Well it kind of was. Both Tayla and I were fine mostly on Saturday, We had a awesome day catching up with people who came to visit and that was all cool. Saturday night was another story.

It was Missy's turn to have this nasty bug. Poor Poppet didn't know what hit her. So 2 spews, lots of cuddles and a shower later we finally settled down for the night and with the help of good luck we had a good night sleep that night.

Sunday Miss still wasn't herself. The spew had stopped (YAY) and that was all good but she wasn't keen on food. Now this is semi normal for my child. She's fussy anyway and having a dinner time battle is nothing out of the ordinary and She hasn't been complaining of feeling yuk or anything but something wasn't quite right so we just went with it and she went to bed with a little bottle in the hopes this would get me through the night. I didn't push her or anything and she had a relatively good sleep.

Monday we woke up to a rather nasty nappy. Won't go in to details as I'm sure your imagination is working over time now. It has resulted in Me being home from work for the past couple of days while we battle this nasty bug.
I had thought that I had gotten off lightly till last night when my tummy started turning and being nasty. Thank god I was able to go to sleep before I lost my dinner.

So today we are spending it doing quiet indoor things. I am very thankful for the Dolls House that Nanny J gave miss at Christmas as she's now playing quietly with that.

Yesterday I did went on Pinterest and found the recipe for Homemade Pedalyte that a friend had posted (Talk about good timing) and thought it was a good idea to do a Snap Guide for it.
If you want  to see it - click here. The thing with this recipe is if you follow it to the letter it turns out salty which is not helpful when trying to get a 2yr old to drink it. Will keep you posted if I come up with a good variation.
The Pin from Pinterest is here - For those not familiar with Pinterest, click on the picture and it will take you through to the original website where there are 3 recipes. I only used the first recipe as thats what I had in my cupboard at the time.

So hope my little feel sorry for me post has got you thinking "Thank God it's you not me" and with that I'll leave you to it. I know one poppet who has decided she needs to go to bed with bottle and a story.

Easter, chocolate, birthdays and snapguide

Well this long weekend has been awesome. It's a shame it isn't longer.

Friday was just a day to chill out and relax. We didn't do a lot. Just hung out which was nice :).

Saturday - the morning was spent playing with Miss Midget and her little friend while their daddy's lined our garage. In the afternoon we went to the park and met up with Miss Midget's extra set of grandparents as it was Popa's Birthday. Miss and Popa fed the ducks. We stayed at the park till the rain came. Then back to Nanny's for more fun and toys. We had a great night and enjoyed all the fun that was had.

Sunday - the morning was spent paying for some of the fun from the night before lol then it was chocolate time. Miss got more chocolate than she knew what to do with. She spent majority of the day on a chocolate high :). We went visiting nanny and Popa again and then went to grandma and granddads so they could do their thing to. Sunday night was a early to bed for everyone night :).

Today we have been drawing with chalk on the footpath, well actually it was just me as I made Tayla a "carpark" for her bike.

Then we had a go at making a bubble snake maker. I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to test out how easy it is to make a guide on snapguide to so took photos as I went. Miss midget loved the bubbles which was good. She had more fun jumping on them though as she'd accidentally took a breath in and got some bubble for her trouble.

We've been for a walk to the dairy, was pleased Miss didn't want carrying all the way and was good when we were in the shop :).

So while Missy was playing I started on my first guide for Snap Guide. Was a simple process and I'm glad I took all the pictures I did. To see the finished product click here.

The guide has been up for a few hours now and it's been looked at 160 times so I'm pretty stoked. I definitely don't claim to have invented this idea (I got it off a good friend who found it on pinterest) but
figured I'd be able to put it on snapguide first lol.

Anyway while Miss Midget is sleeping I'm going to have a chill out.

I hope your Easter has been as awesome as mine.

Till next time :)

Ok so I'm getting carried away tonight

I know I've already posted a website tonight and I know I'll probably need to find another one by Friday but this site is pretty cool and appears to be my find of the weekend.
www.snapguide.com - This site I discovered on Saturday which I thought was handy as it'd give me the whole week to play with it, that is until I decided to post about it tonight :)
I was flicking through the Apple App Store featured apps yesterday on my phone and came across this, downloaded the app and then figured out it had a website from there.

It's pretty cool. Basically it's a place to find how to guides. So if you arts and crafts etc this could end up being the reference site for you. It works like this - You get your idea. Take photos step by step and then put the pictures and the steps in the website. Another simple yet pretty cool concept.
It to begin with reminded me a little of Pinterest but this doesn't take you through to the source website as all the instructions are right there. You can however link your "Guide" back to Pinterest and Twitter and Facebook which is pretty cool.

I was picking that its a pretty new site and read on just before that it only went live just over 24hrs ago so yeah as I said theres not a lot on there but this site in my opinion is going to be one to keep an eye on :).
So far I have found what looks like a really yummy recipe for cookies and cream cookies , Will keep you posted on any other gems I find :)
